Size
The size of a circular patch is determined by measuring the diameter. The size of other patches is calculated by adding the height and width, then dividing by two. For example a patch that measured 4 inches long and 3 inches wide would have a size of 3.5 inches (3 + 4 = 7, 7 divided by 2 = 3.5). Fractions over 1/8" round up, (i.e., 3 3/8" + 3 = 6 3/8" divided by 2 = 3 3/16" priced at 3 ½". Fractions 1/8" or smaller round down.
Color
Base prices allow for up to 7 different colors in your patch design. If your patch design requires more colors please add $0.07 per additional color. For metallic thread add 15% to 25% to base price.
Fabric
Twill included, felt or other specified fabric add 7% to base price.
Backing
Price includes plain backing which is suitable for patches that will be sewn on. Other backing options, such as, then you would opt for the heat seal backing.
Heat Seal Backing (If you want to iron on a patch)
Add per patch as follows:
2.0" - $0.05
2.5" - $0.06
3.0" - $0.07
3.5" - $0.08
4.0" - $0.10
4.5" - $0.12
5.0" - $0.14
We also offer plastic backing, self-stick backing and velcro style backings for an additional charge which must be determined when we provide your cost estimate.
Pre-Production Samples
A pre-production sample of your order will be digitally prepared and e-mailed to you for approval prior to your order being processed. Actual, physical samples can be provided at an additional charge. This ensures the quality and design of submissions.

The threads on an embroidered patch make up the individual stitching found in the details.
